My first reaction of Kansas is that the flat skyline makes for amazing sunsets. The entire sky fills up with color.
It also is home to a lovely bulldog named Ryno who is named appropriately. He is only 6 months old at 48 lbs. (he still has 50 lbs to gain) He may be one of the neatest dogs.
You can also drink Donkey Kick.
I worked out of Derrick's home office on Friday and it was quite relaxing. I am finding out that I am such a productive person that the work-from-home set up is very suiting.
We spend Saturday in Old Town in downtown Wichita. It was a really neat, clean area, all made out of brick. Fun night life too!
We attended the Midwest BeerFest. You must check out the website here to see just how many beers we were dealing with (350). The one with the biggest WOW factor for me was called The Beast. It was a Belgian Strong Dark Ale with an ABV of 14.9%. No Joke.
Sunday Derrick had batting practice with his baseball team, the BUCS. (Ballplayers Under Christ)
On Friday (these loaded a little out of order) we shot guns, guns, and more guns. M-16's, 45's, 9M's 38 Specials, 22's...
And played Just Dance on the Wii for a solid 5 hours.
Jaden is in dance and was really good at it. Derrick has dance moves but didn't seem to hold the controller right because he didn't win one round.
Saturday Derrick and I went for a run which turned into running sprints on the way home. Then we watched Jack's football game. Jayden is the water girl for the team and does a great job!
