B and C

I will leave it up to you and see if you can determine what the B and C stand for after reading this. On Saturday Nathalie and I worked on some projects while sipping on some cocktails. This is what I documented. I made a wreath out of Lima Beans and lots of hot glue and a coat of spray paint.

The paint color was literally called BRIGHT IDEA and I think it fit the wreath perfectly...well maybe with a sarcastic blow. I burned myself quite a few times with the hot glue gun.

I also made this "thing" and if anyone looks at this and can't live without it let me know because I am not too sure what to do with it.

You know its just so gorgeous and all.

I also made another wreath but this one is covered in kidney beans. It needs a few more coats of BRIGHT IDEA

I then thought it would be a bright idea to use BRIGHT IDEA on this box that we use out on our porch.

Well I don't think you need me to tell you that it was NOT a bright idea. Just look.

Nathalie and I now want to switch to sewing things and and using fabric instead of hot glue.

I hung up a few more of my picture tag boards that I made but I need to print out more recent pictures. The bottom one does not want to stay straight.

Then on Sunday it was perfect down in the marina so I visited Jim.

I finally attached my camera strap and it makes a world of a difference.

Lindsey also came down to visit and see the apartment! Then as all weekends do...it came to an end.

IF I had $55,490.00 this second

Do you want to know what I would buy if I had $55,490 extra dollars?
It would simply be this gorgeous beast. Right now it is sitting in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
It is a Land Rover Defender 90.

Now this is a little ridiculous.

Update

This past week I have been putting in overtime again at work but it's all good. We are getting treated oh so well for our extra time. To help with the workload two of us have been taken off phones and strictly enter in orders up to a certain $$$ amount just to get them moving into production. I like this. I love this actually. It makes the days fly by. Friday we got Bloedow's donuts, Thursday we got DQ Dilly Bars, and a few days before that we got bagels from Winona Bread and Bagel. I have also gotten $40 worth of walmart gift certificates so the extra perks are a nice touch.
Last weekend Jim's parents brought the jet boat down and we cruised up and down the river as far as we could until we came to the lock and dam. Then we went out for mexican and Jim's Dad ordered a large margarita. This is what the waiter brought...

We didn't mind helping him drink it.

On Sunday I found the perfect chair to bring to Mason's baseball games. It is now on clearance at Menards from $100.00 down to $49.00. The bag for it would barely fit in my jeep. It has 4 cup holders on each side so you could bring a variety of drinks and never get bored. I think it could also double as a bed.

I made some cool meals this week. I don't even know what this one is called but it sure made for some good leftovers.

And this one was one was a little time consuming but I managed to pull it off.

I was down at the pool for a few hours today and then a fly wouldn't stop biting me so I gave up! Nathalie and I are going to hang some things up on our walls now. I need to finish some of my projects that I have started too.
By the way Mom, this tree isn't exactly what you would call "real size."

Here is a picture I took a few weeks ago down by the lake with Sugarloaf in the background.

Enough Already

If you have never heard of a neti pot I won't disgust you with a picture of me using it but it works wonders on the nasal cavity. I have become pretty close with mine the past few days. Ariel is the one who actually let me borrow hers last year when I had a cold and I bought one off of amazon after I found out how well they work!

Something is in the air down here that is for sure. My eyes burn, I can't breath out of my runny nose, and I have head aches all day. I am releasing way too much histamine and it is getting out of control! Thank you allergies. I have been going in early/staying late at work this week to help out and keep us from getting behind. It sure makes the week fly by! I am going in early again at 6 am tomorrow which makes for a heavier paycheck for the bank!
Two other great things that happened so far this week. 1- our vacuum cleaner is officially broken (and I like to vacuum every other day to keep our black rugs in our kitchen spotless so I am trying to manage) 2- I didn't think it would be a big deal to write my check for rent on my white bedspread on Monday until my black pen exploded and I freaked out (I got it all out though with dawn, nail polish remover, and a hot wash and ended up with clean bedding!)

This is a project I have been working on from some thrifty thrift store purchases. I will show you it when I am done.

Who needs pizza crust?

The other night I was telling Nathalie how I hadn't had a frozen pizza in a while and how it sounded so good at the moment. She then came up with the bright idea to make one using her tortilla shells. They turned out so delicious! We will definitely be making them again. We just baked them at 450 degrees for about 8 minutes. Mom you need to show Mason this, it will kick up his quesadilla skills. Just use pizza squeeze, pizza cheese, and whatever else.

First decent picture?

I have been trying to spend some quality time figuring out how to use my camera. Recently I have forced myself to not use the auto setting which has really helped me...well maybe.
This is where I started...I couldn't even take a picture of our candle. I saved two pictures out of the many just to show you how bad my skill is.

But then I tried taking a picture of the Gerber Daisy that work gave me for my Birthday on Friday and I think I might have it down a little more. At least I can get the flower to show up!

Adding in people might be a little harder. I will have to start with Nathalie and Jim since they won't care if I have to go through 40 shots to actually get their face to be in focus. So I will just stick to objects for now. This fiesta disk pitcher is one of my b-day presents from Jimbo. If only I wasn't obsessed with pottery.

I tried finding videos on youtube to help me but I just got more confused. Here is one of them.
