Personal Barista aka Bestie in town!

Iced coffee made by Nat every morning is something I could get used to.

She realized that wranglers are about as common as grits and sugar around here.  We found our favorite color so far in the pool lot!

We ate at the Oyster Bar in Little Rock and had oysters on the half shell.

 Fried Asparagus

More Oysters

We also had Fried Okra for the first time and of course the rest of the gang had hush puppies.

So happy to have you!

All of us girls rode the bull at the Electric Cowboy. Nat also learned how to two-step.  It is crazy how many different line dances there are down here to each song.  I got one down good to Cotton-Eyed Joe but the rest were so fast that I couldn't keep up.

Ali officially likes Minnesota gals.

And I officially like my Texas Friends.

We ate at a Waffle House for the first time too.  For a girl who likes hash browns-I simply ordered a large smothered.  There was maybe one piece of onion.  You can't have high expectations at this place. Especially when it is 3am.

She saw how well a mud truck fits in at a ritzy shopping mall.

She made Jalapeno appetizers for our Breakfast Taco feast on Sunday evening.

Be proud Dad. This purchase was made because of you.

I am very excited to introduce the north to my Texas friends Breakfast Taco's.  They are gold.

Then we celebrated our birthdays together along with my friend Jayson's.

Then the sad part came when she left.  Until we meet again Nat.  I am glad you had so many southern firsts down here!

Petit Jean Waterfall

ARIEL! When we hiked down to the waterfall, we should have kept going.  The closer you get the more gorgeous it is!

It looks extremely tiny from this pic but as you can see from how tiny I look above, it really isn't!

Travs Game

Last week a group of us went to the Traveler's game in downtown Little Rock.  Little did we know it was 2 for 1 night and tickets were $3.00!

This had the potential of being a good buddy pic.

AR Expo

The river has produced some hefty Sunny's and Catfish.

I experienced my First AR Hunting Expo down here.  This was in the parking lot.  It says "Ted Nugent for President"   If duck calls drive you insane.  You should not attend.  They have duck calling competitions and you better believe they don't use any devices to help them.

I also saw my first Alligator Gar. This is on the smaller side.

Lake Hamilton-AR

A few Sundays ago a group of us spent some relaxing time on Lake Hamilton with a 24' Malibu and one of those brand new Jet ski's equipped with a brake.  I still think it is pointless.  But I am glad I have friends with toys that I don't have.

These are in a weird order but I do not feel like playing the picture swapping game on this blog. The computer always wins.  But I experienced one of the neatest things to date.  One of the fingers on Lake Hamilton leads to the Lake Ouchita Cold Water Dam.  Supposedly the water that falls into this channel comes from the bottom-most layer of Lake Ouchita high above and when it hits the hot air it fogs up like crazy.  Instead of being 100 degrees like the rest of the state, it is about 50 degrees back here, and the water-no joke- is as cold as Lake Superior.  We also saw two otters wrestling around with dead catfish.  You could hardly see five feet ahead in broad daylight.

These 2 are born and raised in Arkansas. Self-explanatory.  They are the funniest people I have met down here. If you could only here them speak.

I wish this was me.  Not quite there.

My friend Derrick and I were the professional camera crew for a bit and went along the boat. Bad news was the video camera was in the wrong mode the entire time so we managed to get NO footage of some sweet tricks that we thought we were recording.

More AR born and raised.

I still managed to get at least ONE great wipeout of everyone. Here are a few samplers.

There are some really neat lake homes on the lake.

This one took first place.  They had a LEGIT personal bar down on the water. Neon signs and all.

The sunsets down here give the ones up north some stiff competition!
